Observations
with measurement errors in both axes are frequently encountered in practical
experiments. Particularly, it takes into account the individual errors of
each point, which might vary from point to point. In this talk, I will
introduce some estimation methods and propose an approach to find estimator
for the slope parameter in linear measurement error models. The methodology
can apply to both the models with or without equation error. If the knowledge
of both error variance is also available, then we can estimate the variance
of the equation error as well. In real data, the observations of astronomical
data are generally affected by measurement errors. We also have investigated
the estimation and testing issues in this data set.
